I hope everyone has had the best summer ever! It has been very hot at times, and the cooler weather is so refreshing as we enter Autumn.
During the summer, I have met so many interesting characters! A child who ponders the origins of the universe, collects fascinating rocks and knows exactly how plants grow. Another, who knows why the sky is blue and how our lungs work. Even a child who can strip my solar-powered water fountain down with his eyes and describe its components and how it works.
All of this amazing young people have dyslexia. All have inquiring minds and think deeply about how and why we live the way we do. This is why I love learning with students who have dyslexia and I'm looking forward to this new term immensely!
